Winter Activities

Hill's Resort is a full service, destination lakeside resort with direct access to groomed snowmobiling and cross country skiing trails on the west side of Priest Lake, Idaho. After a day of winter activities, resort guests and day visitors alike are welcome to warm-up in front of a crackling fire or dine in Hill's restaurant (weekends only). Candy bars, trail mix, energy drinks and wine are available in the resort's convenience store. In addition, Hill's Resort sells North Idaho Park N' Ski parking permits, required November 15th through April 30th.

Driving to Hill's Resort is safe and typically takes only 2 hours from Spokane. Idaho DOT plows Highway 57 leading to Luby Bay Road, and Hill's crew plows the roads within the resort. We even shovel a path to your cabin's front door.

Bring the entire family to Hill's Resort to enjoy Cross Country Skiing, Snow Shoeing and Snowmobiling. Rent a lakeside cabin and create your home away from home! Play board games, build a snowman from fresh white snow and frolic in a winter wonderland. In the evening, snowshoe, walk or sled under star-filled skies.

Cross Country Skiing

Frolicking in a snow-covered tree in a winter wonderland at Priest Lake, Idaho Hill's Resort makes cross-country skiing accessible to all levels of skiers, with trails right out the door of the cabins. Beginners enjoy the low-impact exercise of a new winter sport. Experienced skiers will experience the thrill of gliding over 3 to 6 feet of snow with trails groomed for Nordic and skate skiing.

Cross country skiers and snowshoers exchange greetings on a groomed, meadow trail January and February bring perfect snowshoe conditions: great snow, blue skies and endless options. On snowshoes, you can travel anywhere on Priest Lake's many trail systems. Snowshoe with friends and enjoy the tranquility that abounds at Hill's Resort and Priest Lake Idaho in winter.

A snowmobiler sleds in late afternoon along Priest Lake, Idaho near Hill's Resort Priest Lake is truly a paradise for snowmobiling, with over 400 miles of groomed trails and endless off trail riding.
