What’s a Vacation Without Stuff to Do?
Hill's Resort and Priest Lake offer recreational opportunities for all seasons and all types of people.
The lake is the center of activity in the spring, summer and fall. Swimming, kayaking, boating, water skiing and fishing can all be had on Priest Lake's clear waters. For terrestrial-types, the resort features tennis, pickleball and volleyball courts as well as trails for hiking, jogging and mountain biking. The Priest Lake Golf Course is only a few minutes away and huckleberry and mushroom picking start right outside your door.
In the winter, enjoy snowmobiling, snowshoeing and cross-country skiing (cross-country skis and snowshoes are available for rent in our gift shop). The snowmobile system boasts over 400 miles of groomed trails—leaving right from your door. We also groom cross country ski trails that begin and end at the resort. Follow the tracks of moose, martin and snowshoe hare as you explore the Priest Lake backcountry.
While the rest of the world waits for spring, those in the know experience the beauty of winter at Hill's Resort.
Cozy cabins and the crackle of a fire serve as your evening's base camp while spending your days cross country skiing the shoreline or snowshoeing through the quiet forest. If speed is more to your liking, over 400 miles of snowmobile trails start at Hill's Resort. Cruise snowy forest roads and glide along ridge tops while looking down on beautiful Priest Lake.
Closer to the Resort, you can build a snowman with the freshest snow you have ever seen and sled down runs that will leave you exhilarated and laughing with your family. If bundling up for the outdoors isn't your cup of tea, stay inside and enjoy, well… a cup of tea, while reading that book you've wanted to finish for months.

Winter offers a fresh new dimension of fun at Hill's Resort.
After a long, cold winter hibernating at home, springtime is the perfect time to experience Hill's Resort at Priest Lake, ID.
The forest is full of wildflowers and spring mushrooms, along with everyone's favorite – the Priest Lake Morel – waiting to be picked and enjoyed. Wild roses lend their scent to the mountain air and a variety of birdsong forms the soundtrack to your day's hike.
On Priest Lake's pristine waters, you can ply the waves while boating, fishing, paddle boarding or paddling a kayak to one of the nearby islands for a spring get-away. There's something special about being on the water while gazing on the still snowbound peaks of the Selkirk Range.
After a winter's rest, the Priest Lake Golf Course emerges from its snowy blanket and is open for play. Lengthening days means more time to experience the 18-holes of this unique course.
The mountain world emerges from its winter slumber and Hill's Resport is a great place to experience nature's joyous springtime awakening.
Summer at Hill's Resort is vacation time. Generations of families flee the city and get back to basics – reconnecting with each other – while discovering the pleasure of huckleberry picking, hiking, biking, fishing, water skiing, tubing or enjoying a picnic on one of seven islands in the lake.
And if all that activity isn't your idea of a relaxing vacation, Hill's is the perfect place to sit back, read a good book and let the busy-ness of the world pass by while you bask in the sun and are cooled by a fir-scented breeze.
Evenings are set aside for a wonderful dinner at our restaurant and enjoying star-filled skies as you enjoy a beach bonfire with family and friends.

For many people, autumn is their favorite time of year. At Hill's Resort, it is easy to understand why.
The activity of summer vacations end in mid-September and it's almost as though Priest Lake itself relaxes – taking on a glassy-smooth surface – while reflecting the bright yellow of tamarack trees and the multi-hued reds of vine maple. Fall is the perfect time to enjoy the peace of Priest Lake's beautiful weather away from crowds and the sound of jet skis.
Hiking, fishing and hunting are traditional fall activities at Priest Lake. But modern-day visitors also enjoy hiking the backcountry and kayaking the calm lake waters before the region experiences the first signs of winter.
Enjoy sunny, blue-sky days and warm-up to a cozy campfire in the evening. Fall has it all at Hill's Resort.
