Is Employee housing available?
Yes, there is limited employee housing available. You must be 18 years old to live in employee housing. Please talk with your manager if you need to secure a space in employee housing.
Uniforms? Are they required? And what are they?
We do like the specific departments to wear uniforms keeping a nice consistent look for our staff. Uniforms for the specific departments vary from a simple T-shirt for our maintenance and housekeeping departments to black on black for the night servers. Please check with your manager for uniform requirements.
How far is Hill’s Resort from Spokane/Coeur d’Alene?
For those of you who get to look forward to your first visit to Priest Lake and/or Hill’s Resort, we are roughly 90 minutes from the North side of Spokane and 90 minutes from Coeur d’Alene.
What are the wages?
Wages are dependant on experience and different by department. Please see your department manager for information.
What can I expect on my first day?
Your first day at Hill’s Resort will be an exciting one. You will begin your journey of success in your position. Front Desk
Responsible for assisting guests as they check in and out of resort, along with handling guest questions, and concerns, phones and making reservations. Excellent communication skills and computer skills required. With a high emphasis on professionalism and phone etiquette.
Food Server
Seeking experienced food servers for our formal dining room. With the ability to adapt to all customers to exceed there expectations,
Gift Shop Clerk
Responsible for helping guests, answering questions, and product knowledge. Must have knowledge of cash register and strong communication skills.
Housekeeper
Responsible for cleaning rooms and cottages to set standard. Job requires extensive walking, bending and lifting. Must have excellent communication skills and interpersonal skills.
Maintenance
Responsible for up keep of entire resort. From lawns to plumbing. Must be a positive outgoing individual who has strong communication skills and works well alone.
Bar tender
Experienced bartending in a fun atmosphere. Must have excellent oral communications and possess an outgoing outlook.
Busser
Position requires basic knowledge of kitchen operations with an emphasis on speed and cleanliness. Primary duties are to ensure guest satisfaction and to assist your server. Requires outgoing personality, strong communication skills and work well with others.
Dishwasher
Responsible for cleaning and maintaining resort china, glassware and flatware in a respectful, clean orderly manner. Position requires standing for long periods of time.
Dock Attendant
Responsible for greeting boats and helping tie up. Must work well alone and be motivated. Job requires up keep and cleanliness of all rental equipment, excellent communication, and organizational skills and the ability to do banks and process credit cards.
Pantry
Responsible for making salads, milkshakes, all desserts. Must have good organization skills and pay great attention to detail
Food Prep Accountable for preparation of cold food items for kitchen. Making salads, milk shakes. Being able to multi task a must.
Cooks Variety of positions available from breakfast cooks to broiler and Sautee cooks. Responsible for the preparation of quality food for guests. All meal shifts available.
Espresso
Requires an outgoing individual with a positive attitude. Must be responsible and a quick learner who pays attention to detail and consistency. A background in food service and bar tending a plus.
Hostess
This job is very important! You are the guest's first impression of the dining room. Must be well dressed able to multi task and work well under pressure.
